1. Who we are

This website is operated by PEMS Wellness Limited, trading as Medistic Health ("Medistic Health", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Ireland, of Graigue, Kilcornan, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick, V94TH9V, Ireland.

2. What this website is for

Medistic Health publishes educational material about wellbeing, nutrition, movement, sleep, environment and related topics. Our editorial approach is to separate what is well established from what is still contested and from what is being oversold, and to say plainly when something is uncertain.

The site is provided for general information and education only.

We do not sell anything through this website. Access is free of charge, we do not take payments, and we do not process card or bank details. Where the site describes a product or technology, that is editorial content, not an offer to sell. If we begin offering paid services in future, these terms will be updated before we do so.

3. This is not medical advice

This is the most important term on this page.

• Nothing on this website is medical, clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic advice, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
• Nothing on this website is a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your circumstances.
• You should not delay seeking medical advice, disregard advice you have been given, or stop or change any treatment or medication because of something you have read here.
• If you have a health concern, speak to your GP or another appropriately qualified professional. If you believe you are facing a medical emergency, call 112 or 999, or your local emergency number.
• Where we describe research, we do so to inform your own reading. Early stage research is not proof of benefit, and we try to say so wherever it applies.

4. Independent consultants

Medistic Health works with independent consultants. Where the site introduces a consultant or lets you contact one:

• Consultants are independent. We do not pay them and they may have their own commercial relationships with products or technologies discussed on this site.
• Any view a consultant expresses is their own and is not a statement by Medistic Health or PEMS Wellness Limited.
• Any arrangement you enter into with a consultant is between you and them. We are not a party to it and we are not responsible for it.
• Consultants are not providing medical care through this site, and section 3 applies to anything they tell you here.

5. Third party products, technologies and links

We may describe or link to products, technologies, studies or third party websites. Describing something is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a claim that it works. We do not control third party sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these terms
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system
• introduce malicious code, or interfere with the operation or security of the site
• scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or contact details from the site
• reproduce, republish or redistribute our content commercially without our written permission
• submit false information, or submit another person's personal data without their permission

7. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content of this site, including text, layout, graphics, video and branding, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.

8. Accuracy and availability

We take care over what we publish, and our editorial standard is to distinguish established evidence from early research. Even so, content is provided as it stands. Understanding in these fields changes, and we do not warrant that everything on the site is complete, current or free from error.

We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• the site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• we are not liable for any decision you make, or action you take or do not take, in reliance on the site
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data
• our total liability arising out of your use of the site is limited to EUR 100

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish law.

If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law, and nothing here removes protections you have under the law of the country you live in.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Economic Area, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
